| Yes all this is legal, and it is entirely your cohcie whether to accept the deal or not. Generally a sale does not void a lease term and the new owner would have to abide by the terms of the lease. However since the landlord is being so up-front about the whole thing, they may have a clause in the lease in which it is void in case of a sale.As for having a lockbox, prospective buyers should not be allowed to wander freely and unaccompanied. They should always be accompanied by an agent or the owner. You may choose to be present or absent during showings, and they must give proper notice. |
